The Frosty mole's of the snow covered land and their Lore
After Diglett Cave's collapse in Kanto, every Diglett and Dugtrio dug their way to a new habitable land, but since Kanto was left uninhabitable after Mewtwo's rage destroyed the region and broke it into islands, they all fled to the nearest region that wasn’t yet destroyed, Ignora the last standing region and away from everything wrong going on. The Diglett and Dugtrio learned from the mistake of living in a cave and almost being killed from the collapse, they took to the ice capped mountains, while some fell to natural selection of the cold, the ones that survived adapted in the below zero environment and gained an ice typing in the process, now those that dig can sometimes leave behind ice tunnels where ice shouldn’t exist, and they have been seen trapping their foes in ice and smashing it with stone and earth.
